Biography
James Loup, whose real first name is Antoine, is a French rapper and producer originally from Paris, now based in Lyon. He began his career making short films and music videos for artists around him before going solo in 2019 with his debut EP Je veux. His musical style is characterized by an introspective, poetic approach, blending boombap, 2-step and electronic influences. In 2023, he released the Full Option project, illustrating his artistic versatility. In 2024, he takes part in the third season of "Nouvelle Ãcole" on Netflix, where he stands out for his chiseled lyrics and singular universe. Although eliminated before the final, the show enabled him to expand his audience. Based in a caravan converted into a studio on the outskirts of Lyon, James Loup draws his inspiration from this atypical environment. In October 2024, he released the Soleil Froid EP, continuing his musical exploration with immersive productions. In 2025, he collaborated with "Nouvelle Ãcole" winner Youssef Swatt's on the track "Parking".
