Born in Tel Aviv on November 5, 2000, Israeli singer Yuval Raphael grew up between Israel and Switzerland, enjoying both hard rock and international pop. On October 7, 2023, while attending the Nova festival, she escaped the Hamas terrorist attack that killed nearly four hundred people. Having survived the attack, she went on to audition for the TV show HaKokhav HaBa, which she won on January 22, 2025, thus earning her the right to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest. Performed in English, French and Hebrew, "New Day Will Rise" came second in the final of the competition in Basel on May 17, winning the public's vote.
