Biography

Yumurí y sus Hermanos, a Cuban band formed in 1992 by Moisés Valle (Yumurí) along with three of his four brothers, quickly gained recognition. Their breakthrough came in 1993 when they won the award for Best New Group on the Cuban television show Mi Salsa. The group's early success included arrangements by Orlando Valle "Maráca," a former member of Irakere. In 1994, Yumurí y sus Hermanos embarked on their first international tour, performing in Japan. They released several albums, including Cocodrilo De Agua Salá (1993), Provocación (1996), and Olvídame Si Puedes (1999).
