Kevin Adams Jr., born December 19, 1991 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is an American rapper and record producer known as YGTUT. Raised in a musical family, Adams began rapping at in his early teens after his father introduced him to recording studios. YGTUT's career started around 2011 under the name "Kev Adams." He gained attention with tracks like "Hangin'" and "Holy Water" featuring Angel Mae, leading to his debut mixtape Preacher's Son on January 5, 2015. The album featured collaborations with members of TheHouse collective, including Isaiah Rashad. In August 2016, YGTUT released the single "G35" featuring Rashad. He was signed to Same Plate Entertainment and Sony Music in June 2018. His debut EP under this label, I.O.U., was released on January 18, 2019.
