Biography
Yacøpsæ, a German hardcore and grindcore band, was formed in 1990 within the Hamburg punk/house squatter scene. Yacøpsæ initially operated as a duo due to the lack of a bassist. In April 1991, they released their first demo cassette. Their early releases included Krank Ist Normal E.P. (1994) and Do The Noise (1996). Yacøpsæ gained recognition with albums like Fuck Punk Rock.... This Is Turbo Speed Violence (1998), Yaköpse / Daily Life Monotony (2000), and Einstweilige Vernichtung (2001). They performed at notable festivals such as Obscene Extreme. Their music is characterized by blast beats, stop'n'go breaks, and socially critical lyrics in German.
