Biography
Xaviera Gold emerged as a Chicago-based dance music vocalist and former DJ on WBMX-FM. Her early career featured the 1987 single âYou Used To Hold Meâ with Ralphi Rosario, released under the name Xavier Gold, which introduced her to the club scene. In 1991 she released âHold Me Againâ, followed by the 1992 single âGonna Get Back To Youâ, a collaboration with Masters At Work that reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The 1994 track âYou Used To Hold Me â94â returned her to the Top Ten of the dance chart, and the 1994 single âGood Luvâachieved a Top Thirty position. Singles such as âBad Girlsâ (1995) and âWalkinâ Out Da Doorâ (2007) extended her presence in the genre. Xaviera Goldâs chart successes and collaborations with prominent house producers solidified her role in the American dance music landscape.
