Biography

The rapper known as Almighty was born Alejandro Mosqueda Paz on January 20, 1995, in the city of Havana, Cuba. He was raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and began writing and producing songs in his teenage years, making his official debut in 2015 with the single "Amárrate las Timber" featuring Farruko. He followed up a year later with "Panda," a Spanish-sung reworking of Desiigner's 205 hit single that climbed to Number 23 on the Latin Rhythm Airplay chart. In 2017, he severed ties with Carbon Fiber Music by releasing the diss track "RIP Carbon," directed at label owners Farruko, Lary Over, and Benny Benni. After creating his own imprint La Industria de los Inmortales, Almighty joined Ozuna, Bad Bunny, and Wisin on the 2018 collaborative track "Solita," which entered Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart at Number 20. During this time, he also delivered a string of well-received singles such as "Vacío" and "Veo Veo," a duet with Latin pop singer Elvis Crespo. La Bestia, his studio debut, appeared in 2019 and cracked the Top 10 of the US Latin Rhythm Albums chart, establishing him as one of the most relevant figures in the urban music genre. Following his conversion to Christianity later that year, Almighty issued a new version of Bryant Myers' "Gan-Ga" with Christian-inspired lyrics and featured on Redimi2's award-winning song "Filipenses 1:6." Even though he announced a partial return to secular music in 2021, his first Christian full-length Genelipsis arrived in 2022.
