Wael Jassar, born Wael Mohammed Wehbe Jassar on November 22, 1976, in Lebanon, is a Lebanese singer. Raised in a devout Muslim family, Jassar began his musical journey by singing anachids, or religious songs dedicated to Prophet Muhammad. In 1986, Jassar released his debut album Kelmet Wada'a, which garnered significant public and industry recognition. Throughout his career, Jassar has released numerous albums, including Mashi (1996), Amarou El-Habayeb (1997), Sabrak Ya Alby (1999), and El Donia Alemetny (2001). His notable songs include "Te Gharib A Nas" and "Yamama Yamamat". Jassar has performed extensively worldwide, solidifying his status as one of the most beloved singers in the Arab world. His later albums include Tew'edny Leih (2008) and Nabina El Zein (2013).
