Biography

A singer and guitarist from Val d'Oise, France, Igit got his start on the live scene, distilling his own compositions and bluesy covers. Surrounded by his musicians, Antoine Barrau (guitar), Hugo Zanghi (double bass, bass) and Paul Amboise (drums), he toured France, releasing his first songs on the Kalima Productions label. A contestant on The Voice, la plus belle voix in 2014 (season 3), the singer, endorsed by Garou, established his reputation through to the semi-finals with a series of covers of Charlie Winston, Jacques Brel, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles. Others by Julio Iglesias ("Pauvres diables") and Screamin' Jay Hawkins ("I Put a Spell on You") are released by the Mercury label. In 2015, the track "Courir" anticipated the EP Les Voiles, which entered the Top 100 bestseller chart (no. 97), while the artist fine-tuned his first album, due for release in 2016.
