Veronica Sandra Karin Maggio, better known as Veronica Maggio, was born on March 15, 1981 in Uppsala, Sweden, to an Italian father and a Swedish mother. There, she grew up and studied music before joining several bands, finally launching her solo career in 2006 with the single "Dumpa Mig" (No. 14), followed the same year by "Nöjd?" (No. 6) and a debut album entitled Vatten Och Bröd (No. 14). Two years later, she released Och Vinnaren Ãr, which did even better, reaching No. 7 in the local charts, including the singer's first No. 1 single (in Norway) with "MÃ¥ndagsbarn " (also No. 23 in Sweden). In 2011, Veronica Maggio consolidated her place on the Swedish pop scene with the album Satan i Gatan, which gave her the first in a series of four number-one albums, preceding Handen i Fickan Fast Jag Bryr Mig in 2013, Den Första Ãr Alltid Gratis in 2016 and Fiender Ãr TrÃ¥kigt in 2019. In 2022, she returned with a sixth album, Och Som Vanligt Händer Det NÃ¥got Hemskt (No. 7), and once again topped the local charts with the single "Höghusdrömmar " (No. 22). After the duet "Occhi d'amore " with NOTD (no. 7) and the no. 1 " Det kommer aldrig va över för mig" in 2023, the Sciura album released in 2025 generated new hits including "Inte bra i grupp" (no. 21) and "Backspegeln " (no. 29). In 2026, "Sy dig pÃ¥ mig" reached no. 68.
