Biography
Valshe is a Japanese Ryouseirui singer born on September 15, 1986, in Tokyo, Japan. In 2009, she began sharing her music on Japanese video-sharing platforms, disguising her identity by appearing as an avatar with blonde hair and blue eyes, making her official music debut in 2010 with the release of mini-albums valuable sheaves and storyteller; the latter reaching number 3 on the Oricon Daily Chart. Her first major single "REVOLT e.p" was released in April 2011, reaching number 13, which she followed with second single, "JESTER," used as the theme song for the Sony PlayStation Portable game Sensual Old Story. Valsheâs first full-length album, PLAY THE JOKER was released on February 22, 2012 charting at number 9 and her success continued with third single " Fragment" (from her 2012 E.P AFFLICT/FRAGMENT) used as the ending theme to the variety show Kiseki Taiken! Unbelievable. In November the following year, Valshe released hit song, "Butterfly Core," revealing her identity and appearing to fans as herself, rather than her avatar. The song was selected as the opening theme for anime series Detective Conan and charted at number 8, gaining the singer considerable popularity. Releasing several albums over the next few years, including V.D (2014), RIOT (2016), WONDERFUL CURVE (2017) and PRESENT (2020), Valshe also performed as a singer and voice actor for various anime series and video games including the role of Tsukuyomi in the Nintendo 3DS game Fire Emblem if and Hanzo Hattori in the anime series Nobunaga's Shinobi. On March 1, 2023, Valshe released her 7th mini-album, SAGAS, which reached number 29 on the Billboard Japan album charts. She released her second album, GASTRONOMY, on September 10, 2025.
