Biography

VÃctor Pablo PÃ©rez is a Spanish conductor born in 1954 in Burgos, Spain. He began musical studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de MÃºsica de Madrid and later at the Hochschule fÃ¼r Musik und Theater MÃ¼nchen. His professional career started as a pianist for the Coro Nacional de EspaÃ±a. He became the principal and artistic director of the Orquesta SinfÃ³nica de Asturias from 1980 to 1988. He later directed the Orquesta SinfÃ³nica de Tenerife from 1986 to 2005, simultaneously leading the Orquesta SinfÃ³nica de Galicia from 1993 to 2013. He collaborated extensively with notable institutions such as the Teatro Real de Madrid and the Gran Teatro del Liceo de Barcelona. Among his significant achievements, he received the Premio Nacional de MÃºsica in 1995 and the Medalla de Oro al MÃ©rito en las Bellas Artes in 1999.
