Tymes 4 was a fourâpiece contemporary R&B and soul group from London, England, formed in the early 2000s by Holly James, Taymah Gaye, Leah Tribe, and Natalie Edwards. The group entered the music scene with their debut single "Bodyrock" in August 2001, which reached Number 23 on the UK Singles Chart and was promoted through television appearances and a school tour. In December 2001, the followâup single "She Got Game" entered the UK Top 40 at Number 40, supported by performances on BBC programmes such as Children in Need and Live & Kicking. After a brief hiatus and a lineup change when Holly James departed, Tymes 4 reâreleased "Bodyrock" in Europe in 2002, but the single failed to chart. The group released the single "Hooked" in April 2003, which peaked at Number 69 on the Dutch charts, and that same month issued their debut album 4Story, which was later distributed in Japan under Avex Records. In January 2005, they released The Covers, a compilation of cover versions of contemporary hits. Following the albumâs release, the group disbanded, and former members pursued solo projects; no further releases or official reunions occurred.
