Txarango, a Catalan musical group from Barcelona, Spain, was formed in 2010. The band's origins traced back to 2006 when Alguer Miquel, Marcel "Tito" Lázara, and Sergi "Hipi" Carbonell began performing impromptu concerts in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Their initial project, named Txarangö with a diaeresis over the "o", evolved into Txarango after a hiatus. The band's debut EP Welcome to Clownia was released in 2010, featuring the songs "Nits amb Txarango" and "Vola". In 2012, they signed with Ãxits Produccions & Management and released their first full-length album Benvinguts al llarg viatge (2012), which included collaborations with La Pegatina and Bongo Botrako. Subsequent albums include Som riu (2014), El cor de la terra (2017), De vent i ales (2020), and El gran ball (2021). Notable singles include "Som persones" (2013) and "Tanca els ulls" (2018). Txarango disbanded on October 7, 2021.
