Biography

Trio Sud was a French jazz band formed in 2000, consisting of Sylvain Luc on acoustic guitar, André Ceccarelli on drums, and Jean-Marc Jafet on double bass. The group released their debut album Sud the same year they were founded. In 2002, they released an eponymous album credited to Sylvain Luc. Trio Sud won the award for Best Jazz Orchestra of the Year at the Victoires du jazz in 2003 and performed extensively that year. Their final album, Young and Fine, was released in 2008, for which Sylvain Luc received the Django d'Or.
