Biography
Tre Mission, born Tres-von Carimbocas in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian rapper and record producer of Trinidadian and Jamaican descent. He began his music career by self-releasing his debut album Don't Think (2010). He gained attention for his association with the grime genre, becoming one of the first North American artists linked to this predominantly UK-based style. He released his debut EP The Practice Mission (2011) and collaborated with established grime stars such as Wiley, JME, and Skepta. His breakthrough came with the release of the mixtape Malmaison (2013), followed by the album Stigmata (2014) via Big Dada. The latter featured guest appearances from notable artists including Wiley, JME, Skepta, and k-os, and was shortlisted for a Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2015. His discography also includes the albums Opps Next Door (2017) and Orphan Black (2019).
