Biography

Till & Obel, a comedy group consisting of Klaus "Magic" Rüter, Andreas Obering and Till Hoheneder, all from Hamm in Westfalen, Germany, formed in 1985. Their musical career began with parodies and cover versions of international rock stars, quickly gaining regional recognition. In 1990, their appearance at the Kölner Sprungbretttheater led to national exposure and subsequent television appearances on ZDF and RTL. The trio's breakthrough came in 1991 with their own show, "Die Till & Obel-Show" on RTL. After a brief hiatus from 1993 to 1994, they returned with Volker Wendland replacing Rüter on keyboard. In 1996, Till & Obel became the first comedians to perform at Rockpalast and released their album Uns kann keiner. The group disbanded in 2000 after over 1000 live performances. Notable releases include "Willkommen auf der blöden Seite der Macht" (1995) and "Mit Alles - Das Beste aus 14 Jahren" (2000).
