Biography

Tiger was an English indie rock ensemble formed in 1996 in London and Princes Risborough. The group consisted of Dan Laidler, Julie Sims, Tina Whitlow, Dido Hallett, and Seamus Feeney. The ensemble received attention from the British press for the recording “Shining in the Wood”. The group released its debut studio recording, We Are Puppets, in 1996 through the labels Trade 2 and Island. The album included the tracks “Race”, which reached number 37 on the UK Singles Chart, and “My Puppet Pal”. The ensemble performed on the NME Brat Bus Tour in 1997 and toured with the band Pulp in 1998. The group released its second album, Rosaria, in 1999 through Tugboat Records. The recording was produced by Stephen Street and featured the track “Friends”. The ensemble became inactive shortly after the release of its second album.
