The Winkies were an English pub rock band formed by Canadian-born Philip Rambow, along with former Holy Rollers guitarist Guy Humphreys and bassist Brian Turrington and drummer Mike Desmarais. The Winkies gained significant attention when they served as the backing band for Brian Eno's debut solo tour in February 1974. After touring with Eno, the band signed with Chrysalis Records. Their debut album, The Winkies, was released in March 1975. Shortly after its release, the band disbanded.
