Biography

The Snake the Cross the Crown is an American alternative indie band from Huntsville, Alabama. Initially known as Curbside Service, they changed their name to The Snake the Cross the Crown and released their first EP Like a Moth Before a Flame in 2003. They signed with Equal Vision Records and released their debut full-length album Mander Salis in 2004, followed by Cotton Teeth in 2007, shifting towards a country and folk-tinged sound. The band was notably featured in the documentary On A Carousel of Sound, We Go Round, which premiered at the Louisville International Festival of Film on October 2, 2009.
