Biography

The Reducers were a brief but unforgettable spark in the UK’s 1970s punk rock scene. Emerging from Bury, Greater Manchester in 1978, the band were part of the first wave of punk that brought an abrasive, anti-establishment ethos to the mainstream. While their time together was short, disbanding in 1980, they gifted the punk rock canon several top-class singles, including "Things Go Wrong", which was reissued by Rough Trade in 2025 with "We Are Normal" on the flipside.
