Biography

The Mystic Tide was an American garage rock band from Long Island, New York, formed in 1965. The group consisted of Joe Docko on vocals and guitar, Paul Ricci on guitar, Jim Thomas on bass, and John Williams on drums. The band released their debut single "Stay Away" / "Why" in 1965. This was followed by "Mystic Eyes" / "I Search for a New Love" in 1966. In 1967, The Mystic Tide released the single "Running Through the Night" / "Psychedelic Journey Part 1". Their final single, "Mystery Ship" / "You Won't Look Back", was released later that year. The band disbanded in 1967. In 1991, Distortion Records released Solid Sound... Solid Ground..., a compilation album featuring the group's material.
