The Minutes are an Irish rock band from Dublin, formed in 2006. The trio consists of vocalist and guitarist Mark Austin, bassist Tom Cosgrave, and drummer Shane Kinsella. After several years of live performances, the group traveled to Upstate New York to record their debut studio album, Marcata, with producer Kevin McMahon. Released on May 20, 2011, the album reached number 16 on the Irish charts and featured the tracks âSecret Historyâ and âBelieverâ. The band gained wider recognition through television appearances on Other Voices and The Saturday Night Show, where they performed the single âBlack Keysâ. The Minutes have toured extensively across the United Kingdom and Ireland, supporting acts such as Albert Hammond Jr., The Strokes, and Flogging Molly. The group released their second studio album, Live Well, Change Often, in May 2014, which peaked at number 12 on the national charts. The band remains recognized for their garage rock and blues-influenced sound.
