Biography

The Lounge Kittens were an English comedy lounge band formed in Southampton in 2012. The trio consisted of vocalists Jenny Deacon, Timia Gwendoline, and Zan Lawther, who performed covers of classic popular songs, particularly rock and heavy metal tracks, in a lounge style with piano accompaniment. In February 2014, their cover of "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit went viral after receiving an endorsement from Fred Durst, leading to widespread media attention. Their debut EP Just the Tip... was released in February 2015, followed by their first full-length album Sequins & C-Bombs in September 2016. The band's repertoire included over 40 songs spanning various genres and featured notable covers such as "I Don't Want to Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith and "Duality" by Slipknot. In September 2019, the trio announced their split, citing financial struggles, and performed a farewell tour in early 2020.
