Biography

The Jelly Jam, an American progressive rock and jazz band formed in 2002, consisting of Ty Tabor on guitar and vocals, Rod Morgenstein on drums, and John Myung on bass. The group emerged following the dissolution of Platypus, with its members having previously collaborated on that project between 1997 and 2000 alongside Derek Sherinian. Their debut album, The Jelly Jam, was released in 2002 under InsideOut Music. This was followed by The Jelly Jam 2 in 2004. After a period of inactivity due to members' commitments with their respective bands, The Jelly Jam returned with Shall We Descend in 2011, released through Molken Music. Their most recent album, Profit, was published on May 27, 2016, under Mascot Records.
