The Jaggerz, an American rock band from Pittsburgh, formed in 1964 around guitarist and vocalist Dominic Ierace, known as Donnie Iris. The group initially performed under various names before settling on the Jaggers, which was later changed to The Jaggerz to avoid confusion with another band. Their debut album, Introducing the Jaggerz, was released in 1969 by Gamble Records and featured original songs such as "(That's Why) Baby I Love You" and covers like "Together." In 1970, The Jaggerz signed with Kama Sutra label and released their second album, We Went to Different Schools Together, which included the hit single "The Rapper." This track reached Number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 1970 and was certified gold by the RIAA for selling over one million copies. The band continued releasing singles through Kama Sutra until 1973, when they moved to Wooden Nickel Records. Their third album, Come Again, was released in 1975 but did not achieve significant chart success. By late 1977, the original members had left, and The Jaggerz disbanded.
