Biography

The Hood Internet, an American record production duo based in Chicago, Illinois, was formed in 2007 by Aaron Brink (ABX) and Steve Reidell (STV SLV). Specializing in mashups, the group began posting their tracks on their website. In 2007, New York magazine categorized their mashup track "Drug Drug Kiss Kiss" in the "lowbrow" and "brilliant" quadrant of their Approval Matrix. The duo produced notable works such as BBU's "Please, No Pictures", included in BBU's Bell Hooks mixtape, and Max B and Isaiah Toothtaker's Toothy Wavy. Their first album of original material, FEAT, was released on Decon in September 2012. The Hood Internet also created the internet blog Album Tacos, which combines iconic album covers with images of tacos.
