Biography

Higher Intelligence Agency is the electronic music project of Robert Bird, formed in 1992 and based in Birmingham. Higher Intelligence Agency released their debut album, Colourform, in 1993. The project gained significant recognition with appearances on Warp Records' Artificial Intelligence II compilation and performances at Glastonbury in 1995. Bird collaborated with Pete Namlook on the albums SHADO (1997) and SHADO II (1999). In later years, Higher Intelligence Agency has performed at various festivals worldwide and released the EP Discatron in 2020.
