Entheogenic, a musical group formed in France in 1999, consists of Piers Oak-Rhind and Helmut Glavar. The duo met while working at Emagic, a former producer of music-studio software and hardware. According to the two members, Entheogenic's sound blends "coloristic electrophonics" with "impressionistic orchestra-like sounds," incorporating both Eastern and Western vocals, tribal instruments, and synthesizers. Their debut album, Entheogenic, was released in 2002 on the label 3dVISION. In November 2003, their second album, Spontaneous Illumination, reached Number 1 on the German charts, remaining at the top for eight weeks and staying in the Top 10 for an additional twelve weeks. This marked a significant milestone as it was the first psy-chill album to achieve such success. Subsequent releases include Dialogue of the Speakers (2005), Golden Cap (2006), and Flight of the Urubus (2008), and several other albums up to 2024, showcasing their enduring creativity and versatility in electronic music.
