Biography

The Fiery Furnaces have been distilling an iconoclastic blend of blues, folk and garage rock since 2003 with their album Gallowsbird's Bark. The duo, comprising Matthew and Eleanor Freidberger, toured both the live scene and independent labels (Rough Trade, Fat Possum, Thrill Jockey) until their seventh opus, I'm Going Away, in 2009.
