Biography
The Fantastic Leslie was a comedy rock band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in 1999 at Sydney University by Cameron Bruce, Andrew Hansen, Tom Gleeson, and James Fletcher, the group initially performed under the name Canoe Club before changing to The Fantastic Leslie. Their debut release, the EP A Tiny Mark, was released in 1999, featuring six tracks. In September 2000, Tom Gleeson left the band and was replaced by Bruce Braybrooke. The group disbanded in approximately 2003 as members pursued individual careers. Post-disbandment, Andrew Hansen became a member of The Chaser team, while Cameron Bruce joined various bands including Karma County and GUD. Tom Gleeson hosted Hard Quiz on ABC and won the Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality in 2019.
