Biography
The Dugites, an Australian rock band from Perth, formed in 1978 with Lynda Nutter on vocals, Peter Crosbie on keyboards, Gunther Berghoffer on guitar, Phillip Bailey on bass, and Clarence Bailey on drums. The group released their independent single, "Hit Single", in 1979 and toured as the backing band for Dave Warner. In 1979, they signed with Deluxe Records and released their self-titled debut album in 1980, which peaked at number 22 on the Australian Album charts and achieved gold status. The album featured the singles "In Your Car" and "Goodbye". Their second album, West of the World (1981), reached number 33 on the charts. In 1984, they released their third album, Cut the Talking, which included the single "Juno & Me". The band disbanded at the end of 1984.
