Biography
The Doubleclicks, a nerd-folk musical duo consisting of siblings Laser Webber and Aubrey Turner, were formed in 2011. The siblings grew up in Westford and Boston, Massachusetts, where they developed an early interest in music. Their first significant release was the EP Worst Superpower Ever in April 2012. The duo gained initial recognition for their nerd-friendly comedy music, including songs about Dungeons & Dragons and dinosaurs. They released their debut album Chainmail and Cello in April 2012, followed by subsequent albums such as Lasers and Feelings (2013), which debuted at number 7 on Billboard's Comedy Albums chart, Dimetrodon (2014), and President Snakes (2015), which later reached number 2 on the same chart. The Doubleclicks' music evolved to include more personal themes and social issues. They have performed at various pop culture conventions and nontraditional venues, and their video for "Nothing to Prove" gained over a million views on YouTube.
