The Dark Side of the Moon is a multinational symphonic metal band formed in Germany on July 13, 2021. The group consists of Melissa Bonny and members from Feuerschwanz and Amaranthe. Their debut single "Jenny of Oldstones" was released on August 16, 2021, a cover version from the soundtrack of Game of Thrones. The band signed a contract for their first full-length album. The band's lineup includes Melissa Bonny, Hans Platz, Morten Løwe Sørensen, and Jenny Diehl. Their debut album Metamorphosis was released on May 12, 2023, featuring guest appearances from Charlotte Wessels, Fabienne Erni, Rusanda Panfili, and Tom S. Englund. The band covers pieces from fantasy films, series, and games, transforming them into heavy metal versions, as well as composing original tracks.
