Biography

The Cassandra Complex, a British electronic rock group, was formed in 1980 in Leeds by Rodney Orpheus and Paul Dillon. Journalist Andy Booth joined after interviewing the band. Their first single, "March", was released in 1985, after which they signed with local label Rouska. Early albums Grenade (1986) and Hello America (1987) were released on Rouska. In 1987, they signed with Play It Again Sam for the live album Feel The Width. Notable albums include Satan, Bugs Bunny, and Me (1989) and Cyberpunx (1990). The band continued releasing albums such as The War Against Sleep (1992) and Sex & Death (1993). In 2022, they released The Plague, their first album in 22 years, which spent four weeks at Number 1 in the German Alternative Charts. Their 2024 album, Death & Sex, also topped the charts.
