Biography

Reggae is universal, and far from being confined to Jamaica, after the European, American and African scenes, The Black Seeds proudly represent the Antipodes. The New Zealand band debuted in 1998 and released their debut album Keep on Pushing in 2001. The Black Seeds were soon noticed for their impeccable style, and set out to conquer faraway Europe. A fan of musically sophisticated reggae, and quick to drift into dub, The Black Seeds consolidated their reputation with On the Sun (2004) and Into the Dojo (2006). Solid Ground in 2008 makes The Black Seeds one of the most exciting bands in their category.
