Biography

The Biscuit Brothers was a group formed in Austin, Texas, that debuted with their television program on KLRU in 2004. The group, featuring Allen Robertson as Buford Biscuit, Jerome Schoolar as Dusty Biscuit, Jill Leberknight as Buttermilk Biscuit, Damon Brown as Tiny Scarecrow, and Ian Scott as Old MacDonald, used a mix of live-action, puppetry, and animation to teach cultural communication through country music. Their first album, Meet the Biscuits, was released in 2005. The group performed at notable venues such as the Austin City Limits Music Festival from 2004 to 2006 and hosted the annual Austin Family Music Festival. The show featured voice talent and collaborations from notable musicians such as Willie Nelson and Evelyn Glennie. They released several albums including Old MacDonald's EIEI Radio (2007), Family Favorites (2007) and Musical Farm (2008).
