Biography
The Azoic, an electronic music band from Columbus, Ohio, was formed in February 1996 and included members Kristy Venrick, Steve Laskarides, and Shawn Lower. They secured a record contract with Worm Records and released their debut album, The Divine Suffering, in 1997. In 1998, the band released their second album, Where Broken Angels Lie, under Nilaihah Records, founded by Venrick. Their third album, Forward..., followed in 2001. The Azoic signed with Infacted Recordings in Europe and released the compilation Forward + Conflict, which reached number 4 on the DAC German Alternative Chart and number 2 on the DUC Dutch Alternative Chart in 2004. In March 2005, their track "Conflict (Turmoil Mix)" was featured in the video game Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 3.
