Biography

Tasha Taylor, born in Kansas City, MS, is an American blues and soul vocalist raised in Dallas, Texas. She began her musical journey at a young age, traveling with her family on tour. Her breakthrough came when she was featured on Tommy Castro’s album The Devil You Know. In 2005, Taylor released her debut album Revival, followed by Taylormade in 2010. She has collaborated with notable artists such as Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd of The Blues Brothers, and toured extensively, including the Ruf's Blues Caravan tour in 2016. Taylor has also ventured into acting, appearing in episodes of Moesha, House, and Ugly Betty. In 2019, she won Best Female R&B Performer and Best Music Performer at the Los Angeles Black Music Awards. Her discography includes the albums Honey For The Biscuit and Push & Pull.
