Tao Tsuchiya (February 3, 1995) is a Japanese actress, singer, and model from Tokyo. She jumped into the spotlight in 2015 as the lead role of Mare Tsumura in the morning drama serial Mare, which helped her win the Newcomer of the Year category at the 39th Japan Academy Film Prize and at the 40th Elan d'Or Awards. In the years that followed, she starred in numerous films such as Orange (2015) and Yell for the Blue Sky (2016), and toured the world with a theatre adaptation of the manga Pluto in 2018. Subsequently, she played the starring role in the Netflix hit series Alice in Borderland (2020) and lent her voice to the main character of the anime film Sing a Bit of Harmony (2021). Sung by Tao Tsuchiya as Shion Ashimori, the single "Lead Your Partner" was included in the movie's original soundtrack and entered the Japanese Top 200 at Number 182.
