Biography

Taarka, a musical group formed in 2001, is a folk rock band originating from Portland, Oregon. The group was founded by mandolinist David Tiller and violinist Enion Pelta-Tiller, who met through the band Brooklyn Browngrass while living in New York City. In 2004, Taarka released the album Even Odd Bird. Following this, they consistently toured and released albums including The Martian Picture Soundtrack (2007), which featured bluegrass fiddler Darol Anger on "The Creepy" and other notable musicians. Their subsequent releases include Seed Gathering for a Winter Garden (2009), Adventures in Vagabondia (2012), Making Tracks Home (2015), and Fading Mystery (2017).
