Sugar Jones was a Canadian girl group formed in 2001 in Toronto, Canada. The group was established through the first season of the television series Popstars and consisted of Mirella Dell'Aquila, Julie Crochetière, Andrea Henry, Sahara MacDonald, and Maiko Watson. Their debut single, âDays Like Thatâ (2001), reached Number 1 on the Canadian charts and number 7 on the Contemporary Hit Radio chart. Their recordings include the single âHow Much Longerâ (2001), which reached number 5 on the Canadian Airplay chart. Their self-titled debut album, Sugar Jones (2001), reached number 2 on the Billboard Canadian Albums chart and received a platinum certification. Watson left the ensemble in 2002 to perform as a backup singer for Remy Shand. The group became inactive in 2003.
