Puro Suco is a hip-hop group from Brasília known for blending rap with samba, reggae, and MPB influences. Formed by MCs Murica and Peres (also known as Prs) together with producer and DJ BEATDOMK, the project began taking shape in 2017 with the idea of creating “tropicalist rap” rooted in local culture and groove-oriented rhythms. They debuted publicly in 2018 with “Melô do Amor,” followed by several independent releases that highlighted their organic production and lyrical reflections on daily life in Brazil’s capital. Between 2019 and 2021, the group gained attention with the album Rataria Popular Brasileira and singles such as “Abraço do Tempo,” which showcased their signature mix of live instrumentation and sample-based beats. In 2022, Puro Suco released Puro Suco No Estúdio Showlivre (Ao Vivo), capturing their high-energy performances, and in 2023 followed with the full-length Cacau, including standout tracks like “Borogodó,” “Tonelada,” “Cacau,” and “De Volta ao Básico.” Through 2024 and 2025, they continued releasing material including “Pivete,” “Bom Dia Vietnã 2,” and “Ensaio sobre a Sujeira,” while collaborating with artists like Letícia Fialho and Orquestra da Rua.
