Biography

Composed of animated characters Chubby Cherry, Goldie Foxx, and DJ Dyna Mink, Studio Killers are a Danish-British-Finnish virtual electro pop outfit who made their official debut in 2011 with the dance pop single “Ode to the Bouncer.” The track, which initially gained traction through the group’s video streaming channel, topped the charts in the Netherlands and made it to the Top 10 in both the US and the UK. Preceded by follow-up singles “Eros and Apollo” and “Jenny,” their eponymous studio debut arrived in 2013 and reached Number 9 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers chart. After a series of live performances at the Ruisrock and Ilosaarirock festivals in 2014, the band went on hiatus up until 2018, when they announced a comeback via their video streaming channel. That same year, Studio Killers released the singles “Dirty Car” and “Party Like It’s Your Birthday,” which were followed by a crowdfunding campaign to create their own animated series in 2019.
