Biography
Stony Sleep were an English grunge rock ensemble formed in 1993. The group was established by Ben Fox Smith, Shïan Smith-Pancorvo, and William Salmon. Their recording career began after signing with Big Cat Records and releasing the debut studio recording Music for Chameleons (1996). After Salmon departed and was replaced by Lee Citron, they released the studio recording A Slack Romance (1999). The recording reached number 30 on the Australian charts. They achieved professional recognition for a review by Ozzy Osbourne in NME and an interview on the television program The Big Breakfast. Their recording career includes two sessions recorded for John Peel. The ensemble became inactive in 1999. Their discography includes the posthumous studio recording Stony Sleep B-sides (2019).
