Biography

Steinar Karl Albrigtsen is a Norwegian singer and guitarist born on January 4, 1957, in Hammerfest. He grew up in Tromsdalen and performs in the country, blues, and jazz genres. Albrigtsen released his debut studio album, Alone Too Long, in 1990, which sold 180,000 copies and received a Spellemann Award. He followed this with Bound to Wander (1992) and the Tom Pacheco collaboration Big Storm Coming (1993). Subsequent releases included The Troubadour (1994), Life Is Good (1996), and Get Together (1997) with Jørn Hoel. After the recording Nobodies (2000), he released Bop 'n Roll with the Blue Cats in 2006 and Moment Of Peace in 2007. Albrigtsen won the television competition Det store korslaget in 2012. His later discography included The Sailor (2015), The Daily Blues (2017), and the tribute album The Pacheco Project (2023).
