Martin Tétreault, born on January 1st, 1958 in Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Quebec, Canada, is a Canadian improvised music DJ known for his innovative use of turntables. During his youth, Tétreault developed a passion for experimental music and pursued studies in visual arts. In 1984, he cut and rearranged the vinyl record Travelling Guitars by Larry and Lemore, creating unique sounds from manipulated vinyls. This marked the beginning of his career as a free improvisation musician. Throughout his career, Tétreault released several notable albums, including Des Pas Et Des Mois (1990), La nuit où j'ai dit non (1998), and Four Focuses (1999). He collaborated with various artists such as Kevin Drumm and Otomo Yoshihide, and his work includes both solo productions and duos.
