Biography

Spicy Box, a French fusion group originating from Saumur, was formed in 1993 and comprised nine members. They blended elements of hip-hop, punk rock, and electro into their music. In 1995, they released their self-titled EP Spicy Box (1995) under Crash Disques, which included tracks like "Big Up", "Wanna Be Bree", and "Jamais Soumis". Their breakthrough came with the album Mouvements (1997), released on Island Records, featuring notable songs such as "Tenez Votre Police en Laisse" and "Plein Pouvoir à ton Corps". The album was nominated for a Victoires de la Musique award in 1998 in the "Meilleur album dance" category. They released their final album Love and Revolution (2000), which included tracks like "Drop That", "My music", and "Don't stop da mix". They disbanded in 2000.
