Sonnington James III, known professionally as Sonnyâ¯J, is an electronic musician from Liverpool. Sonnyâ¯J released his debut single "Can't Stop Moving" inâ¯2007 through Stateside Records, a track that gained exposure on television programmes such as The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent. In 2008, he issued two EPs, Enfant Terrible and Handsfree (If You Hold My Hand), the latter featuring vocalist Donna Hightower. A week later, the debut album Disastro was launched. The remix of "Can't Stop Moving" by Mirwais Ahmadzaï, released in Septemberâ¯2008, reached number 40 on the UK Singles Chart and number 8 in Japan, marking Sonnyâ¯Jâs first top 40 hit.
