Snuper, a South Korean boy band formed under Widmay Entertainment in 2015, debuted with six members: Yoo Taewoong, Choi Hyunggeun, Shim Sangil, Choi Sunghyuk, Jo Sangho, and Jang Sebin. The group's name signifies "more than super," reflecting their ambition to surpass typical standards. Snuper released their first EP, Shall We, on November 16, 2015, featuring the lead single "Shall We Dance". This debut marked the beginning of their career in the competitive K-pop industry. They followed up with their second EP, Platonic Love, in March 2016, which included the title track "Platonic Love" and solidified their presence in the music scene. In July of the same year, they released the single album Compass with the song "You=Heaven", marking their debut in Japan later that year with the Japanese version of the single, which sold over 16,000 copies. Snuper continued to release EPs and singles, including Rain of Mind (November 2016), which featured the track "It's Raining" and I Wanna? (April 2017). The latter included the lead single "Back:Hug", and was followed by a re-edition titled Meteor. In July 2018, Snuper released their EP Blossom, which included the track "You in my eyes". Their final album, Swing, was released in December 2019. Throughout their career, Snuper gained a dedicated fanbase known as "Swing." The group officially disbanded on May 3, 2023, leaving behind a discography that spanned various genres within idol music, J-pop, K-pop, and pop music.
